The Johnston family and the Indianola community are mourning the heartbreaking loss of Noah Johnston, who tragically passed away in a car accident early this morning. He was just 21 years old.

Born and raised in Indianola, Noah was a talented young athlete and a beloved son, friend, and teammate. From a young age, he showed incredible promise on the baseball field, earning respect and admiration not only for his skill but for his discipline, sportsmanship, and dedication.

A proud alumnus of Indianola High School, Noah excelled as a catcher and center fielder, participating in high-level tournaments including the USSSA All American Central Division and the Under Armour World Series. Standing at 5’10” and weighing 160 lbs, he was known for his quick reflexes, powerful throws, and consistent performance. His top pop time was an impressive 1.98 seconds, with an 81 mph catching velocity and 87 mph outfield velocity.

He also took part in the Program 15 – Open ID Events in Kansas City, showcasing his talent and commitment to the sport. His high school head coach, Casey Aldridge, and fellow teammates remember Noah as a hardworking, humble, and uplifting presence both on and off the field.

Off the diamond, Noah was a quiet but strong soul who loved deeply and lived with purpose. He was fiercely loyal to his family and had a close circle of friends who now mourn the deep void left behind by his sudden passing.
